How to scrape LinkedIn posts (profile feed + single posts)
A target prospect's recent LinkedIn posts are gold for outbound personalization — what they think about, what they care about, who they engage with. Kavex Posts supports two modes: paste a profile URL to get the last N posts, or paste a specific post URL for full engagement detail.
Two input modes (auto-detected)
The scraper detects which mode based on URL pattern.
- Profile URL or @handle → last N posts from activity feed (max 25)
- Post URL (/posts/ or /feed/update/) → one detailed row
- Share URLs auto-canonicalised to /feed/update/ to avoid LinkedIn error pages
Fields per post
Engagement counts parsed from aria-labels in 6 languages.
- post_text, post_url, post_id, author_name, author_url
- published_at_relative ("2w"), published_at_iso (from JSON-LD)
- like_count, comment_count, share_count
- top 5 comments (commenter + text)
- media_urls (image attachments)
Sales play: outbound triggered by post content
Combine Posts + AI Personalizer: pull last 10 posts per prospect, feed the most recent into the AI personalizer for an opener referencing their actual post. 3-5× higher reply rates than mail-merge.
