Kavex vs Apollo

A database ages.
A run can't.

Apollo is a contact database with a sales workflow around it. Kavex is forty-five scrapers that open the live page at the moment you press Run. Almost everything in the table below follows from that one difference.

How we compare

There is not a single invented Apollo number on this page. We compare structure, which anyone can check. Where we cannot verify something from the outside, the cell says so and sends you to their pricing page.

Structure, not adjectives.

Seven things that decide which of the two fits the way you work. Read the right column with their pricing page open.

Where the rows come from
KAVEX

Forty-five scrapers open the live page the second you press Run. Nothing is served from an old copy, because there is no stored copy.

APOLLO

A contact database you search. How often a record is refreshed is decided on their side, not on yours. Check their docs for the refresh policy.

What you pay for
KAVEX

Delivered results. A Google Maps lead is 2 credits, so $2 per thousand, and 1 credit is $0.001. What a run did not find comes straight back to your balance.

APOLLO

Seats. You buy a user per month and then work inside the limits of that plan. Check their current plan page for the seat price.

How many sources
KAVEX

Forty-five, and they are different in kind: Google Maps places, LinkedIn people, Trustpilot reviews, Booking properties, Indeed jobs, Amazon products, Reddit threads.

APOLLO

One set, built around B2B people and the companies they work for. For places, listings, reviews or job posts, check whether their coverage reaches that far.

What happens to credits
KAVEX

They never expire. Top up in March, use the rest in December, nobody resets anything at midnight.

APOLLO

Credits are handed out per plan and per period. Check their current plan for what happens to the ones you did not use.

Getting the data out
KAVEX

CSV with no row cap, every column the run produced. The same rows over the API, on the same credits.

APOLLO

Export is metered per plan. Check their current plan for the row limit that applies to yours before you count on a big list.

A team of five
KAVEX

One pot of credits, five people, one invoice. Nobody is charged for the month they did not run anything.

APOLLO

Five seats, billed whether or not all five worked that month. Check their current plan for what five users cost together.

The other side

When to take Apollo.

Three cases where we are the wrong tool. If one of them is you, buy theirs.

01

You want the whole sales motion in one login.

Search, sequences, dialer, inbox, all in the same tab. Kavex hands you rows and an export and then gets out of the way. That is on purpose, but it is not what you asked for.

02

You want to browse before you buy anything.

A database lets you search and stare at results all afternoon. Kavex has nothing to show until a run finishes, because there is no stored table behind it.

03

Finance prefers a fixed seat to a moving number.

Usage-based spend has to be watched. If one predictable invoice per user is easier to defend inside your company, that is a real reason and we will not argue with it.

Pricing

No seats. Just a balance.

Top up whatever you want, whenever you want. A bigger top-up buys more credits for the same dollar, and every scraper has one published rate underneath.
